The Little Cutter-Not your Mother's Scissors

"Don't you run with those sci= ssors in your hand!" my mother would yell at me when I was younger. Things have sure changed since then. Now, I run with my scis= sors everywhere. Maybe, I should e= xplain in more detail before you grab a pair of scissors and start running around. The scissors I am tal= king about are The Little Cutter. <= /o:p>

The Little Cutter is scissors made= for cutting braided fishing line, fishing lure skirts, soft plastic baits, and other materials. As for runni= ng with them, I mean on plane in my boat, not on land. The Little Cutter was engineered f= or a clean, neat cut with sharp anti-corrosion stainless steel blades and molded handles. It comes in a compact size, only about 4-inches long and fits into any tackle box or glove compartment. The Little Cutter scissors (www.thelittlecutter.com or www.utilitypowerscissors.com= ) are a product of Allen-Davis Enterprises of Mishawaka, Indiana; they also o= ffer two other products: Lobster Louie and the Power Utility Scissors.

Allen-Davis Enterprises began when William Davis took a grinder to an old pair of scissors out in his garage f= or some R/D. Like many of the ot= her Underground Garage entrepreneurs, Davis continued until he fabricated the f= inal product The Little Shrimper. = The Little Shrimper was a tool to de-shell and rove the vain from shrimp. As fate would have it, companies w= hich resale shrimp to stores or restaurants came up with a way to mechanically de-shell and remove the vain from shrimp.&= nbsp; Although this door closed, another one opened. Davis tweaked the original Little = Shrimper and ended up with Lobster-Louie; a product that cuts the tail for removing = the meat off lobster tails or King Crab.

After having one successful product Lobster-Louie, Allen-Davis Enterprises decided to expand the number of prod= ucts they offered. So, they added = The Little Cutter and Power Utility Scissors.&= nbsp; The Power Utility Scissors have oversized comfort grip handles provi= ding a firm grip, and razor sharp stainless steel serrated blades, in addition to being lightweight and nearly indestructible. The Power Utility Scissors can cut= tough steel wire or delicate silk fabric. "The Power Utility Scissors can even cut though a Campbell Soup can!" explained Davis. T= hese scissors can also be used as promotional products with a company's logo or slogan printed on them. =

Interestingly, Allen-Davis Enterpr= ises began a decade ago when the two friends, William Allen and William Davis, of over 50 years became business partners.&nb= sp; This relationship is the corner stone of their company. Davis receives the products out in California where he forwards them to Allen, dealers and resellers; Allen has taken over the promotional process of the company and does some of the ship= ping and labeling of products to consumers.&nbs= p; Only by Allen and Davis working together would they be able to have a successful company.

As for me, I am off running to the= next fishing hole with my Little Cutter. The best part, if I break off or need to retie I will have The Little Cutter with me to cut the line or tag ends. Oh by the way, do not worry, Mo= m, I will be careful.
