It’s all about= bass fishing.

But, I have jumped ahead of myself because Ultimate Bass (www.ultimatebass.com) was once just an idea that Lau= rie and Mike Cork had. This is on= e idea that ended up ultimately changing their lives forever. In the beginning, the website prov= ided its members a place to communicate between themselves and post tournament results. Later, fishing repor= ts were added to the website.

Ultimate Bass suffered some growing pains during its early years. In fact, its loyal members helped keep it going during this time by paying for= an optional membership to the website. Ultimate Bass rewarded these members with a decal and other special benefits. This proved to be t= ough times for Ultimate Bass but in 2008, advertisers began to take note of the website and join in to become sponsors.&nb= sp; Another event which changed Ultimate Bass forever was when Legend Bo= ats president Randy Qualls, got involved with Ultimate Bass during the 2^nd= annual Ultimate Bass club shootout. As the story goes Legend Boats brought down a couple boats to the event to = let the folks test drive them. In exchange for that Legen= d Boats brought a grill and enough hot dogs and hamburgers to feed an army. While everyone was test driving the boats Legend’s President, Randy Qualls,= was grilling up lunch and set out chips and soda for everyone. No sales pitch j= ust a thank you for letting Legend boats come down and they packed up and left. While everyone was out playing in the Legend Boats, Laurie was talking with Randy and discussing business needs, trends, and just general chit chat that might go on between two business owners, no sales pitches what so ever betw= een the two of them. Two weeks later Randy calls Laurie and that was the beginn= ing of a great relationship between Ultimate Bass and Legen= d Boats.

Now, Ultimate Bass finds itself ha= rd to keep up with all of the contests, forum, posting, articles, editing, emails, and everything else associated with running a successful website. Visitors can visit the website 24 = hours a day and even become a member and log on to the forum. Ultimate Bass does not charge a fe= e to become a member of their website.

The majority of bass fishing websi= tes have a staff of employees working to keep the website in working order and = with current information. Ultimate= Bass has just two, the owners Laurie and Mike Cork. Laurie checks email, tends to administrative demands, checks the forum, contacts ever= yone involved in the website, and an array of other tasks. Mike, her husband, runs the contes= t, puts content on the website, editor, and other responsibilities required associated with running a website. Together, they work as a team to keep Ultimate Bass up and running.<= span style=3D'mso-spacerun:yes'> However, there are some other individuals who Ultimate Bass could not do without. These are the volunteer Ultimate B= ass staff. These staff members br= ing a wealth of skills to the website and work in different areas including resou= rce development, editorial, event organization, and so much more.

The Ultimate Bass website covers B= ASS, FLW, WBT, and industry news; along with articles, product reviews, and other bass fishing topics. The forum provides an oasis of contacts, content, contest information, and covers numerous other topics.

For Laurie and Mike, Ultimate Bass= is a labor of love and they work diligently to produce the best website available for bass anglers. It is hard = to imagine that this website was once just a forum for anglers to communicate = and post tournament results; now it is the Ultimate Bass website.
